What is Plotter’s Delusion? It’s a term I coined a few days ago to explain why I’ve got my outline down but can’t seem to go ahead to write it, or continue writing it.
You see, I’m a plotter, which means I outline my stories.with a proposed ending, and even some dialogue, before I go ahead to start writing proper.
But somewhere along the line, I start to believe that I’ll be able to write the entire story in a short time cause I’ve got the bulk of it down.
When I haven’t. And I can’t.
So I keep deluding myself and time passes.
What’s the cure for Plotter’s Delusion?
A writing routine.
One that you actually stick to. And You can’t deviate from this routine until that first draft is done.
